评比方法：“诗无达诂”，“译无定法”，“文无第一”。本次翻译比赛不设具体标准，完全根据14名英语为母语（或接近母语）的外籍人士的投票决定比赛名次。评者投票时根据自己的喜好/标准投票。部分评委书面给出了投票依据，一并附上，供读者参考。欢迎大家对公布的上榜译文进行讨论、点评。

3.Constructionofthetranslationanditsabilitytoportraythemeaningofthetextwhileusingtheirownwords
4.Uniquenessoftheparticipantinexpandingthemeaningofthetextpastitsliteraltranslation
GOODParticipantgaveasuccincttranslationofthetext.Inaddition,theparticipantaimedtostayasclosetothemeaningofthetextinChinesewhentranslatingitintoEnglish.
VERYGOODParticipantwasabletogivetheirinterpretationofthetextwhilealsocreativelyrephrasingpartsofthetextintheirownwaywhilestillmaintainingasimilarmeaningtotheoriginal.Insomecases,theparticipantwasalsogivenaverygoodbasedontheirlevelofcreativeexpression.However,theywerenotawardedanexcellentbecauseitwasfeltthatthemeaningbecamedistortedwithinthetranslation.
EXCELLENTParticipantwasabletotranslatethetextinaveryuniqueway.Theyattemptedtoevolvethemeaningofthetextbasedontheirowninterpretationwhilenotchangingthemeaningofthetext.
Rose(英国):
NonereallyusedEnglishtocapturethespiritoftheoriginaltext,althoughsomewereverygood.Butmanyhadsomething‘off’aboutthem;theydidn’thaveasenseofwistfulnessaboutthelanguage,oftentheysoundedtrite.
Poetryshouldn’tsoundtrite,butevokesensibilities;andwhateverlanguageused,itshouldtrytoinvokethatspiritinthereader.
Iappreciatesome(that)werewhimsical,andnotexactlyfaithfultothetext.

投票过程：本次比赛共收到参赛译文84版。按译者提交时间前后顺序编排序号，将译者姓名及单位隐去，分别发给14位评委征集投票。每位评委根据自己的判断对译文按Excellent(A档),VeryGood(B档)和Good(C档)投票。
计票方式：C档译文记1分，B档译文记2分，A档译文记3分。总分16分及以上的译文获一等奖（7人），12-15分获二等奖（14人），10-11分获三等奖（21人）。
